High quality tape. Unlike some other tape's that could be used to temporarily tape something down and be removed, this tape is really meant to stay attached. I bought it as stage tape (temporarily holding down plugs and audio cables). 5 stars because for normal (real) tape applications, this stuff is super high quality and does just what it was designed to do.
I had a wire that was hard-wired to some expensive headphones that started to fray, and I didn't want conventional electrician's tape because it was a small spot and electrician's tape will often come loose. The silicone tape allowed me to cover a small spot and provided a solution that will last. Excellent product that saved me having to spend money to replace an expensive component.
We use this tape to help protect our paddles in our paddle board rental business in Mexico. We use the tape on 3 critical areas as shown in the picture to aid in structural strength and keeping salt water out of these areas. Works great in very tough conditions.
Really works well for wrapping wire connections on my bike that need. Unlike black electrical tape, you do not need to use much to obtain a good wrap/seal. It may take a couple of connections for practice (learning curve) but you get better as you go. Start by using a short piece - as you wrap it around and cover the original starting point, overlap and tug/stretch it and it quickly molds into itself on the overlap. But if you make a mistake you cannot pull apart without destroying it - which defines how good it works.
I used it for several different wire junctions under my truck where I installed LED’s and am very pleased with results. I will be unwrapping the electrician tape I first used and wrap with this silicone tape. Use sparingly since it is expensive.
I use this tape to seal the electric cable connectors on my electric bike. This seals out water & moisture during the winter season. This tape is easily to use, very pliable and sticks to itself very well. The vendor told me that because it is silicone, it will resist deteriorating from the sun’s rays.
The waterproof effect of this tape is good. The stainless steel pipe under the washbasin leaks. After use, the effect is very obvious. It has not been dripping all the time! There is a crack at the data line connector, you can also use it, the effect is OK!
I had to hunt for this, because I wasn't even sure what it was called. I had a roll of it years ago, and rarely needed it, but when I did, I really needed it. My wife bought these bar stools for our kitchen island, made out of wood and iron. They looked beautiful but the feet were essentially hyperbolic arcs of iron. How do you protect your wood floors from that? I tightly wrapped the bottom 2 inches with a 2/3 overlap. After about 2 months, it's still holding up great.
I purchased this silicone tape to have a better grip on my outdoor tools. The wood has turned to splinters and this tape helped to give a better grip and stays in place. The description is just how the seller describes it. I wished there would be more on a roll, but nontheless its a great product.
I am installing Security cameras and while they have what is supposed to be weather proof connections I wanted ot make sure they stayed as moisture free as possible. I found this stuff and it is awesome. I cut a decent length, stretch it and start wrapping and this stuff sticks to itself like epoxy. Hopefully this will keep my connections moisture free for years to come.
Lost a bolt from a children's scooter. Tried the tape on it. Still holding. In self-isolation mode on the street until tried. Like, holds. I highly recommend this tape! It is great!
This stuff is legit! I used it to wrap up my solder connections on my low-voltage landscape lights, and it's held up great, even after several heavy rains. A little goes a long way, too; I used it to wrap up 10 connections (and I wasn't being stingy with it), and I've barely used any of the roll. I was originally hesitant so spend the money on a roll of tape, but I have no regrets.
