I discovered this handy gadget while researching air fryers, and subsequently after purchasing, air fryer recipes for tofu. I have used the "pressing between two plates" method for more years than I care to admit. This tofu press is so much more efficient. I just set it up, put it back in the refrigerator or set it aside while I do other prep. LOVE the draining feature too! One important note for new tofu cooks, freezing tofu first changes the texture and you get better handling. Pressing a fresh block of tofu, even extra firm as recommended, will likely smash it. I usually purchase several blocks of extra firm tofu at a time, put them in the freezer for about a week, then start using them for various recipes.

This press accommodates both blocks perfectly lengthwise, side-by-side. The whole unit is only about a half-inch larger than a pound of tofu and has a very small footprint when stored in the fridge.

I'm not a fan of too many kitchen gadgets, but I think this one is definitely worth it. It's small enough that it doesn't take up too much room in a cabinet or in the refrigerator when it's doing its job.

This thing is great. I am new to tofu and felt like I was using 30 paper towels trying to get the water out of it in the past. This pays for itself with the paper towel savings. I left it in the press for 40 minutes and got about half a cup of liquid out.

Save yourself the stacking plates, weights and books. This is so much easier! I made a press out of two cutting boards and four bolts and have used it for two years. I wanted a better and easier alternative. I have used this press two or three times now. So far, so good!

I used it for the first time last night and I could really tell a difference. I've never gotten my tofu that texture with the random-heavy-objects method. I had to push down very hard for it to close, and honestly I thought I was going to smush the tofu into oblivion. It ended up working great!

I didn’t know I had to press my tofu for it to be crispier and more yummy so when I saw it on youtube I got excited and had to order myself one It works good and makes my vegan meals more enjoyable

I’ll start by saying that I am new to tofu and the hardest part about adjusting was going through so many paper towels. I was looking for a tofu press that was easy to use, minimal to no mess, and easy to store. I found all of this with the YARKOR Tofu Press. I thought it would be best to include a video with my review so you all could see the simplicity of the press.

Does an excellent job with firm tofu, even cubed. Can’t believe I spent so many years pressing slabs between dinner plates with paper towels when this is available. Caveat: won’t work on silken tofu but then I don’t believe anything does.

Simple product but gets the job done. I like to press my tofu before I marinate it in whatever seasoning I am using. The helps to expel as much water as possible and makes the absorption of the flavors much easier.

OK, this little device is a game changer! I wasn’t a fan of tofu, until my husband decided to smoke it for me. It was absolutely amazing. After smoking it we began experimenting with it. It’s also fabulous prepared in an air fryer. The only thing I didn’t like about tofu was the prep

We're slowly transitioning to plant based and weren't sure how to press until we started googling. We found this lovely gem! I use it all the time! Looooooove it!

I can't believe I waited so long to purchase a tofu press. This little device has been fantastic. The first time I used it I was unable to get it to lock down with the tofu in it. The second time I figured out what went wrong and was able to get it to lock down completely. Loving the tofu bacon I am making with it, can't wait to try something else.

This press worked out great for what I was using it for. I was looking for something to make fire starter bricks and saw this. Made the perfect sized brick and really easy to use. Now I will be able to put all that pointless paper waist to better use!

We’re relatively new to cooking with tofu and even made a couple dishes without pressing it at all (ew) before we found this gadget. This thing makes a WORLD of difference and is so easy to use. It is super easy to clean and assemble / take apart / store as well. The plastic feels very sturdy and like it will last quite a while. We use it at least once a week and love it!

I am obsessed with this device. I was blowing through paper towels trying to dry out my tofu. This is so much easier and better for the environment. It works 100 times better than wrapping in paper towels and then stacking heavy plates and books on it to get the moisture out. I am so happy I stumbled on this device. If you are always looking for a way to dry out your tofu for certain recipes this is your ticket!

After having a hard time trying to press the top and latch it with a 14 oz piece of extra firm tofu, I cut a very thin slice (less than 1/4") off one end of the tofu and the top piece latched on easily. This is a great little item - sturdy, works well, and easy to use.

Remember if you freeze your tofu first then thaw it out, then press it, it becomes magical. I highly recommend this product, it’s a timesaver, a hand saver and works as advertised.

I just got this press and made my first pumpkin hempseed ToFu. When I got the press I kept wondering from some of the other reviews what was so hard about putting pressure on the spring to engage the press? Maybe ppl are using store bought stuff to press. I bought the press so I wouldn't have to deal with store-bought Tofu.

I've just received this item and have only used it once thus far, but it's exactly as advertised. The plastic parts appear to be sturdy, the spring is well engineered and it collected about a quarter inch of water from i-lb. of firm tofu.

I really love this tofu press. It’s simple to use & easy to clean. The built-in liquid collection tray is a bonus feature making cleanup quick & easy. I like to drop in a block of tofu into the press, pop it in the fridge overnight, and have it ready to use the next day. I have also used the liquid collection tray & top for marinating with the press removed. It’s the perfect size for the tofu block.
